Hidden doorways, arches and stonework revealed
As we have already reported earlier this year, changes are happening in Barga for people wishing to eat out. Three new eating places are now in the process of being renovated and should all be ready for business by the summer. Today we sent the photographer back into the area close to the Teatro dei Differenti where some interesting developments have taken place.
False walls and plasterwork inside the building have been torn down to reveal some very beautiful stone work probably dating back 500 years, some original terracotta tiles on the floor and even a walled up archway and door leading into another cantina.
