Margini - artists in residence on the mountains
barganews is sponsoring a project over the next 2 years of putting artists in residence into the rifugi - the climbers huts across the Alpi Apuane and Appennini monuntains.
Filmmakers, printers, painters, sculptors, photographers, poets and writers are all being invited to make their art about their experience of the mountains.
Yesterday was the opening conference to start this project in Lucca.
Over the next few months we will be featuring some of the work that these artists have created in and around this project.
L’Associazione Rifugi Alpi Apuane e Appennini risponde alle indicazioni in tema di “rifugi come presidi culturali” allineandosi con la filosofia di pensiero del Club Alpino Italiano, proponendosi come obbiettivo il progresso economico esociale, tenendo conto dell’equilibrio ambientale. La salvaguardia dell’ambiente Ë ormai un dovere per tutti: dobbiamo continuare a ricercare un equilibrio in grado di soddisfare le necessità di oggi, senza compromettere le risorse naturali indispensabili per le generazioni future. Questo per l’Associazione Rifugi Alpi Apuane e Appennini, Ë la grande sfida dei prossimi anni.

L’ambiente e le montagne sono orizzonti di riferimento anche per le comunit‡ urbane. L’ambiente Ë uno degli elementi piu significativi per la determinazione dell’aspetto culturale dei popoli. L’iniziativa propone una simbiosi tra cultura, arte e ambiente ed offre all’osservatore l’accostamento ad una realtà poliedrica (negli aspetti naturali, sociali ed ecologici) suggerendo una chiave di lettura attraverso alcuni elementi narrativi: medium dell’immagine, testimonianze dirette, documentazioni antropologiche e geografiche. Un viaggio, lungo le radici, le risorse, il vissuto, l’appartenenza….
