Restored painting from 1600 returned to Barga

A restored painting from 1600 has been returned to Barga this weekend.The painting “Madonna del Carmine col bambino e I Santo Rocco, Antonio e Sebastiano” by the Barga painter Baccio Ciarpi was unveiled in the San Rocco church in Barga Giardino.
The large painting which includes images of Saint Rocco, Antonio and Sebastian was painted some time in the 1600′s has been restored with the contribution of the Lions Club from Castelnuovo.
The President of the Lions Club, Dott. Pietro Turricchi was in the church for the unveiling ceremony and for the small reception held afterwards at La Galleria right nextdoor to the S.Rocco church.
