AS Barga win the championship
Barga football club supporters were in the streets this afternoon celebrating loudly their team winning this years football championship after a long gap of more than 20 years in the wilderness.
Barga Giardino was the scene for wild flag waving, whistle blowing and general black slapping all round as the team returned triumphant from their match at Coreglia.
Their 1-0 result now puts them in an unbeatable position at the top of the championship with still one game in hand - next weeks derby with Fornaci di Barga.
Finalmente ce l’abbiamo fatta e abbiamo festeggiato il ritorno in 1° Categoria. Da protagonisti. Vincere un campionato, sempre in testa fin dalla prima giornata, è stata molto dura, ma vedere la festa nata a bordo campo, poi sulle strade barghigiane ha ripagato di tante difficoltà.
Grazie a tutti quanti hanno partecipato a questa grande festa, alla sfilata di automobili e al bagno di folla che ha accolto i giocatori al ritorno a Barga.
Grazie a tutti i tifosi che ci hanno creduto e che hanno sostenuto sempre la squadra.
Grazie a tutta la squadra e all’intero staff tecnico, che insieme alla società hanno condotto un cammino esemplare.
Grazie a quanti hanno collaborato a questa vittoria, a tutti coloro che hanno aiutato l’organizzazione della nostra sagra, agli sponsor.
