Footballer returns to Barga after 34 years

Terry McGibbbons from Scotland returned to Barga this week after a gap of 34 years. Terry, who's family originally came from Barga, used to visit often during the 60's and 70's. He brought with him a photograph taken in 1964 showing himself as a young man in a football team that played at Pieve Fosciana. The team was made up of mostly Barghigiani, so he was interested to see just how many of the team he could find in Barga during his visit.
He called into an exhibition of photographs in Piazza Angelio of footballers who played for Barga since 1924 and found some more faces that he recognised. Upon leaving the exhibition he ran into Giancarlo Morganti one of the people in his original photograph from 1964.
