Crane blocks Barga Vecchia for a day

As we have been saying since the start of this year, lots of changes are taking place in Barga with the opening of new restaurants and shops. A large mobile hydraulic crane came through Barga Vecchia this morning closing one of the roads for most of the day.
The crane was needed to complete work on the chimney of the new restaurant in Piazza Sargentone where extensive restoration and restructuring has been taking place since the winter.
The finished restaurant will be opening some time in July and will bring many more people into a part of the city which for the past few years has been left to its own devices since the closing of the bar at Porta Macchiaia.
