ALESSANDRO COMMELLATO
Studia a Milano con Carlo Vidusso e prosegue con Franco Gei, Pier Narciso Masi, Evgeny Malinin, Sergio Fiorentino.
Ha vinto i concorsi: Schubert di Dortmund, Cidad de Oporto, Rendano, Stresa.
Ha suonato come solista con l'Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala di Milano, del Teatro la Fenice di Venezia, Filarmonica di Praga, Orchestra della Radio di Zagabria, Filarmonica di Bacau, Orchestra Verdi di Milano, I Pomeriggi Musicali, Orchestra Sinfonica Toscanini, etc.
Tournees in USA, Giappone, Australia, Turchia, Libano, Marocco, Pakistan.
Con Divertimento Ensemble esegue musiche contemporanee a Salisburgo (Mozarteum), Madrid (Auditorium Nacional), Milano (Musica del nostro tempo), Como(Autunno Musicale), Biennale di Venezia, Palermo, etc.
E' stato invitato dal Teatro alla Scala per la creazione di "Cherì" (F.Poulenc- R.Petit) e di "Autour de Chopin" (replicato a Varsavia al Teatro Nazionale Wielky).
E' solista nel 2003 in Medea di Adriano Guarnieri al Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, nel 2007 sarà all'Auditorium di Roma e al Ravenna Festival con La Pietra di Diaspro.
Ha registrato per la Rai: "Kenst du das Land", "Alma Brasileira" (musiche di H. Villa Lobos), "Rossini", etc.
Si dedica da alcuni anni all'esecuzione del repertorio classico e romantico su strumenti d'epoca, ed è impegnato nella ricerca e riproposizione di autori e repertori inediti(recitals a Milano: Palazzo Marino, Musica nelle Abbazie, Musica Rara, Firenze: Accademia del Fortepiano, Genova: GOG, Palermo: Amici della Musica, Vercelli: Società del Quartetto, etc)
Con Atalanta Fugiens Ensemble è invitato in festivals prestigiosi a Lausanne, Lugano, Innsbruck, Bremen, Aix en Provence, Moulhouse, etc.
Dal 1988 è docente ai Corsi Internazionali di Bobbio, affiancando H.Deinzer, S.Palm, T.Wye, S. Azzolini, con i quali si è spesso esibito in concerto.
A Cremona collabora con S. Accardo, B. Giuranna e R. Filippini.
Ha inciso per ARK, Ricordi, Amadeus (Quintetti di Hummel con Atalanta Fugiens, Rossini: "Peches de Veillesse", nel 2007).
E' titolare di pianoforte principale al Conservatorio "G.Cantelli" di Novara.

- Quentin Compson : Yes, Ma'am. It would be King Lear I believe, an allusion to the fool (and to Lear himself). But there is a more recent connection between Yokapatawpha and the Coldfields with a Biblical reference -- Absalom -- rather than the Shakespearean one to which you allude.
