Jacks Pack and Mr.Pitiful at BJC

Double bill last night at the Barga jazz club, with not just one but two local musical legends on offer. First off, the Barga blues band, Jack's Pack took to the stage with their stomping blues numbers.  They were followed by the best soul band in the area, Mr Pitiful, who kept a capacity audience on their feet till late. Fashion gurus would have had a field day with the strange clothing worn by both bands.  The members of Jack's Pack came on stage wearing shirts and believe it or not, bright red ties. To compensate, the Mr pitiful band were all wearing football shirts … strange, strange, strange. 

Maybe it was because of the birthday celebrations of Jack Nannini, lead guitarist with Jack's Pack or maybe it had something to do with the rumours that Spike Lee would be in the audience that evening. Members of the film troop were in the club last night that no sign of Spike Lee. He was telephoned at his hotel during the Mr Pitiful set but was already sleeping according to sources close to the film company.
