Gastone at the Teatro dei Differenti
Live theatre this evening from the Teatro dei Differenti in Barga … and by live theatre, I really do mean - live theatre. Last year there were a series of productions coming to Barga which were really just sketches from TV shows using TV personalities as their selling point and which do not draw from the vast theatrical culture that there is in Italy. It was so refreshing this evening to see a real dancing, singing, acting cast all working together with the audience to provide a great evenings entertainment of a type that only the theatre can provide.
Il personaggio Gastone, forse la più grande invenzione di Petrolini, è il simbolo di un’esaltazione scenica, minata dal vuoto di valori. È la maschera di un teatro comico popolare, sorto in un’epoca in cui iniziavano a farsi sentite i germi di quella grave malattia, che ha segnato la vittoria dell’apparenza sulla sostanza, dell’immagine sul talento vero.

Incontriamo Gastone nel momento in cui crede di essere giunto a una svolta importante: ha appena conosciuto una ragazza del popolo, Lucia, grande talento vocale, ambiziosa e sognatrice. Forte della sua scoperta, cerca di convincere un impresario. A produrgli uno spettacolo, con la sua sgangherata compagnia di ballerine e fantasisti. Non dovrà faticare molto, perché l’impresario, rapito dalla straordinaria voce della ragazza, si lancerà a capofitto in questa avventura, che li condurrà a un debutto in provincia, dove si segnerà l’inizio della promettente carriera di Lucia che, dopo il grande successo della serata, lascerà senza scrupoli Gastone, accecata dalle promesse e dalle lusinghe dell’impresario. In scena una decina di attori che cantano e ballano, per raccontare un gustosissimo affresco di un mondo di artisti così lontano, ma al tempo stesso così vicino a quello ben più smaliziato e cinico dei nostri giorni. Io stesso interpreterò il ruolo di Gastone e al mio fianco, nel ruolo di Lucia, ci sarà Tosca. Massimo Venturiello

- w le piante : la gente non si fida piu' perche' troppi alberi sono stati abbattuti inutilmente, significa che non c'e' rispetto per le piante e quindi per la natura. come mai questi alberi sono sopravvissuti tutti questi anni e improvvisamente si ammalano e diventano pericolosi? forse dovremmo rivedere il modo in cui le piante vengono potate e fare piu' prevenzione?!?
