Sponsored run in Bruxelle for Massimo Gonnella

Massimo Gonnella and Anna Schidt married here in Barga last summer. There is an article with images and a short interview with the couple just as they came out at the Palazzo Pancrazi here. Unfortunately Massimo was suffering from cancer and he died just five months later on the 19th of December 2007. What was notable at that wedding was the large amount of guests – over 100, who arrived from right across Europe, many coming from Brussels where Massimo and Anna lived. Some of those guests will be taking part next month in a sponsored 20 km race in Brussels in memory of their friend Massimo, who was a keen runner with the proceeds going towards cancer research. There is a website specially set up for this event, called Run for Massi which can be found at the www.runformassi.be So far they have already reached a figure of over euro 16000 pledged in aid of Cancer Research. The 20 km run will be on 25th May 2008
