Last year the Barga Vespa Club was created by a group of Vespa enthusiasts in this area. Within weeks they had membership figures running into the hundreds – to celebrate they took to the roads for the 1st Giro del Territorio Barghigiano. (article here) A year later and more than 60 vespa’s were back on the roads as they toured the narrow lanes in the mountains above Barga – Castelvecchio Pascoli, Fornaci di Barga, Tiglio, Renaio, Albiano and Sommocolonia for the 2nd Giro del Territorio Barghigiano. The event has drawn in not just local riders but also Vespa enthusiasts from far away as Genova, Siena and Carrara.

Domenica 20-04-08 si è svolto a Barga il secondo giro del Comune in Vespa. Tale manifestazione è stata organizzata dal Vespa Club di Barga il quale ha visto la partecipazione non solo delle persone di Barga e di comune vicini ma anche di persone provenienti da Genova, Siena e Carrara.

Questa magnifica giornata è stata dedicata alle vespe d’epoca delle quali se ne sono contate circa una sessantina.

La manifestazione ha avuto inizio a Barga da dove si è ramificata fino a Renaio, Tiglio, Filecchio, Ponte all’Ania, Fornaci, San Pietro in Campo, Castelvecchio, Albiano per poi ritornare a Barga. Tutto ciò ha comportato un ottimo traguardo per il Vespa Club, il quale ha fatto risvegliare i vecchi motori delle vespe che da molto tempo erano state scordate nelle cantine fredde e umide.
