Cash point machine opens in Barga Vecchia

Well we have been talking about this since February (article here and here) but this morning rumour and talk became solid action as Barga Vecchia now has its first Bank in 30 years.
As the Mayor of Barga Umberto Sereni said in his opening speech, Barga is flying once more in the face of all other negative news around at the moment concerning economic factors and above all the fate of banks and instead of closing businesses, there are new ones opening.
The shiny new cashpoint machine was opened to the public this morning with the blessing of the Provost of Barga don Stefano, the sound of the brass band from nearby Fosciandora and the voices of the Santa Lucia choir from Gallivare, Sweden who are here in Barga for a concert later on this evening in the Duomo.
