Caption Contest
Torrential rain has once again stopped most of the outside activities in Barga today. So instead some images from yesterday to keep our spirits up. Liberation Day – the 25th April and a national festa in Italy. At Aristo’s bar in Barga Vecchia the party was in full swing. As you can see from the faces of the musicians, Aristodemo was in fine form. Dare we run a caption contest for the image on the left ? But seriously, there are images in these pages which might benefit from a brief explanation, a point of reference, a caption: this daily image for instance, what the heck is that thing? But of this image, even if you don’t know the radiant characters pictured, its poignancy and joyous emotional impact are immediate and palpable, nothing more needs to be said.
Really, Poetry. Don’t you recognize a thingamjig when you see one? Or, in less scientific jargon, a whatchamacallit?
