The soul band Mr Pitiful have been playing in Barga so many times over the past few years that they have kind of almost become adopted by the Barghigiani. Nowhere was this clearer than in Gallicano this evening at “Il Pane e le Rose” festival. Apart from the fact that three of Barga’s finest are there up on stage playing in the group – Simone Venturi on keyboards, Alessandro Rizzardo on sax and of course Barga’s very own Andrea Guzzoletti on trumpet but a quick scan of the audience revealed a large percentage of Barga faces bopping for all they were worth. The people of Gallicano know how to put on a music and beer festival but its the Barga crowd that get up on their feet and dance, dance, dance.

Il Pane e le Rose continues all this week in Gallicano right up until Sunday 28th June with live music each and every night.
