Vespa club Rally "Città di Barga"

In 2007 the Barga Vespa Club was created by a group of Vespa enthusiasts in this area. Within weeks they had membership figures running into the hundreds. They have been organising events for their members ever since. Runs, outings, special events, dinners and meetings. Today it was the turn of the 2nd Inter-regional vespa rally “Città di Barga” which was held in and around Barga. Once again well over one hundred vespa’s on the road – 140 to be precise with the furthest coming from the Verona Vespa Club. At lunchtime they called into La Trebbiatura at San Pietro in Campo where prizes were awarded before they all roared back off into the distance ready for the next event later on this summer.
P.S That Vespa and sidecar has appeared in barganews in the past …way back on 2000 we published a photograph of an earlier version of the sidecar with it’s then owner - Mario “Bino” … that image from the archives can be seen here
