Don't pet the dogs; they bite. Photographing inside the church grounds for immediate expulsion. Closed for 3 weeks in March for unspecified religious rituals. Enjoy your visit. Who is he again? Please remind me? There are runours that he is the new mayor of Barga. Funny, the charming and affable Umberto Sereno was ever present in his capacity as mayor, and he lived in Lucca! Mr. Bonini lives nearby but strangely enough we never see him. Oh dear!
