It has become more and more difficult to write an article about the musical phenomenon going under the name of “Emma e gli Aristodemos” as it become gradually known that one of the members of the band is also the editor of barganews. While the group were playing small bars and restaurants outside of Barga it was possible to keep a foot in both camps so to speak but after last night that is no longer possible as Emma and her band played to a packed Piazza Angelio. Maybe the best thing to do is to quote what some of the other news organisations in the area are saying this morning about last nights performance.
“an evening that we would hope to see always for the Festa of Centro Storico. The Barghigiano group, Emma Morton, Keane, Fabio Guazzelli, Alessandro Rizzardi and Leo Gnesi presented an unforgettable evening of music and atmosphere from the 1950s and 60s which held the attention, ears and eyes of listeners of all ages.
The singer Emma presented us with all her charm and a voice from another age backed up by her able group of musicians for a concert that has been the high spot of this year’s Festa of Centro Storico. – giornale di barga
For those who missed last nights concert, there will be another chance to see and hear them on the 25th July but you will have to travel to the piazzza in nearby Castelnuovo Garfagnana.

I think this is a good problem for the editor and the group to have!!!! ??

So what’s the problem? The prime minister of Italy owns or controls all of the television stations that cover his activities. Doesn’t bother him a bit.
Caro Beauly, your perspective is obviously colored by a youth passed in the Canada of Conrad Black. No pun intended. When it comes to conflict of interest in the media, Mr. Black was to Silvio Berlusconi (and perhaps to the editor of Barganews) what Caesar was to Caesar Salad.
I might point out that Conrad Black is no longer behind bars…. but he should be! 🙂
As to the conflict of interest… there in lies the rub, “interest” It is great that there is a conflict of “Interest” Lets hope all this “interest” continues, as it seems they deserve it.
Seems they are becoming a city wide sensation…. ah I remember their birth on those Sunday evenings at Aristo’s…
Hope all is well Monacu…..

Not only do you remember their birth, mate. You also heard all of the songs they play.
