It’s an experiment that we have tried a few times in the past – translating articles on barganews into other languages automatically using some computer software. A good deal of the time any results were bordering on farcical at best or some kind of Dada poem at worst (or should that read the other way round ? )

Anyway, regular readers will know that in the end we have given up trying to automate translations.

That is until this week. Once again we have bitten the bullet and are trying out some new software which claims it can translate the complete site with all of the articles on our databases into over 50 different languages.

On the right hand side of the front page of barganews there are now a series of small international flags. Clicking on any one of those will translate the whole barganews site into 50 languages. Clicking on the first flag top left hand corner will turn the site once more back into English.
