A third concert for the tail end of the summer season was held this evening in Piazza Angelio in Barga Vecchia with a large crowd sitting down to eat a meal in the piazza courtesy of Riccardo Negri at the L’osteria. Last week the music had a definite classical feel with the concert by Massimo Salotti and the soprano Sally Li (article here) This week it moved over to popular music with a concert by the singer from Pisa, Cristiana Mariotti and the very talented guitarist James Wynne.
James was last here in Barga in August for the guitar master class with Antonio Forcione (article here)

These are talented people. Why drown their own music in a level of amplification so powerful that it distorts their skills and makes the experience literally painful for the audience? It makes no sense.
