It has just been announced that the Barga Jazz Club will be open on New Years Eve with a live music line up not to be missed. Instead of setting up a series of musical events which coincided with people eating their traditional New Year’s Eve meal, the organisers of the club once again this year have come up with a real winner. The New Year’s Eve – Capodanno evening will start at midnight and go on into the very small hours of the new year and this year featuring the sound of the Electrovisions followed at 1.30 am by a DJ session with Miz Dior
We have been talking about the music coming Andrea Guzzoletti all year … his Invisible Cities CD is now available on line and locally but there have also been a couple of side projects that have been just as interesting. One was THE CUBE in Piazza Angelio this summer. Two of those musicians who were playing inside the cube – Andrea Guzzoletti on trumpet and the keyboard master Simone Venturi are both playing in the Jazz Club from midnight onwards as part of the Electrovisions cycle of works.
Andrea Guzzoletti — Invisible Cities, the music project that has been gradually evolving for the past three years finally moved into its finished state and was released to the public on line on itunes and Amazon earlier on this year and is available in local shops from this morning onwards for people living in this area and not wishing to buy on line. It can now be found at Edicola dal Mario in Barga Vecchia, Edicola in Barga Giardino, Bottega della musica at Fornaci, Tony Records in Castelnuovo and Telerecord in Lucca.
In July for the art event THE CUBE in Piazza Angelio it was possible to hear some of the music written for Invisible Cities but now for the first time it is possible to hear the complete cycle of music composed by Andrea.
