James Wynne the extremely talented musician and song writer has just released a new CD of his music entitled “Blessed Days” featuring nine acoustic tracks including a live version of the title track, Blessed Days.
There is also a video presentation which can be seen at the end of this article in which he talks about how he came to make some of the music on the CD
In the video James talks about being in Barga, which he terms “one of the most beautiful places on earth” as part of the guitar master classes run by Antonio Forcione, (article here) and so the title “Blessed Days” for him seemed somewhat fitting.
He last played here in Barga during August 2011. (article here)
The year before that in September of 2010 he played his first concert in Piazza Angelio in Barga Vecchia in front of a large crowd sitting down to eat a meal in the piazza courtesy of Riccardo Negri at the L’osteria (article here)
Influences on James Wynne : So many…. of people I’ve played with, here are the ones in my heart… First of all: Silvio Traversa & Peri THEN: Ivan Appino, Mario Punzi, Davide DalPiaz, Marco Gardini.
Guitar Influences: Page, Dean De Leo, Andy Summers, Steve Jones, Angus Young, Antonio Forcione, Jake E. Lee, Pete Townshend.
Composing Influences: Paul McCartney, Eagles, Queen, Kiss, AC/DC, Police, Foo Fighters, Soulwax.
Sounds Like: Usually a very sick cat…. sometimes, on a good night, Antonio Forcione limited by Ace Frehley’s technique, with a pythonesque humour to get by… best heard tipsy.
A short (ten minute) interview with James recorded in the barganews office just five minutes after he came off stage in Piazza Angelio in 2010 (in English )
