As Andrea Barbuti, responsible for Strategy and Planning at Ciocco quite clearly says in the short interview below (in Italiano) recorded this morning in the bright sunshine at the hotel on the hill overlooking Barga, the times are changing.
The first ever Autumn Festival is now in full swing and will be open to the public right through this weekend giving visitors to the event the possibility to sample for themselves a huge range of products, foods and wines from this area and beyond.
Local produce, local wines, cakes, even soap beautifully masquerading as cakes, salami and much, much more are all on show on La Terrazza overlooking one of the finest panoramic views to be found anywhere in this area.
At one of the stands at La Terrazza can be found an old friend of barganews who regularly posts articles under the category “Ambiente“: Emilio Bertoncini.
In the conversation below (in Italiano) Emilio talks about the Giardino della Lumaca at Pietrasanta , the L’orto delle Meraviglie and his various projects involving ecology, schools and the changing perceptions in education as a whole.
