So we already a couple of weeks into the New Year and there are some important changes happening down in Barga Giardino which could quite possibly change of face of that area by the end of this year.
An area which once housed the historic Nardini Bus company before becoming the workshops, offices and parking spaces for the CLAP bus company has been shut for the last couple of years after the CLAP moved to a new centre further down in the valley.
There has been talk ever since of building a new commercial centre on that land.
This week that talk became action as work was started on demolishing the old CLAP buildings.
It would appear that the whole area is being redeveloped into a new shopping and commercial centre and Barga Giardino as we know it will be drastically changed.
