The second in a series of exhibitions in the Palazzo Pancrazi opened in Barga Vecchia this morning with work which has already been across the Atlantic twice as Sandra Rigali in now exhibiting her latest work which was exhibited recently in the State Street Gallery of Chicago USA (article here)
Not only are the images about Barga and this area but also includes the words from one of Barga’s most illustrious sons – of course we’re talking about the poetry of Giovanni Pascoli
As you can hear in the short audioboo recorded (in Italiano) at the opening this morning, she has included in her work the texts from various Pascoli poems.
Not only that but the physical relationship between the paintings also reflects the relationship ands spaces in the verses of Pascoli.
She is exhibiting not just single paintings but diptych and triptych – two and three paintings together to form one single piece of work.
