The gallery which opened back in 2015 without fuss, ribbons being cut or speeches – the paintings inside speak for themselves – (article here) has once again opens its doors to the public.
The gallery is dedicated entirely to the work of the painter Cesare Puccinelli (1935-1989).
Born in Pontedera in 1935, Cesare Puccinelli moved to Barga in 1969 after marrying Maria Maiolani.
He worked here in the city until his death in 1989 producing hundreds of paintings in those years.
The gallery is once showing a selection of his work from 1974 – 1979 and is intending to change their selection on a regular basis.
The last time there was an exhibition of the paintings of Cesare Puccinelli was back on 2014 at the Fondazione Ricci Onlus.
The gallery can be found at Casa Studio Puccinelli – via di Solco 4, Barga
