Andreas Boyde was born in Oschatz, Germany in
1967. He studied with Christa Holzweissig and Amadeus
Webersinke in Dresden, then in London with James Gibb.
A major influence was his mentor and promoter Malcolm
Frager.
Andreas Boyde is now one of the
most sought after German pianists of his generation.
He has played in great international concert venues
such as the Cologne Philharmonic Hall, the Wigmore Hall
London, the Gewandhaus Leipzig, the Tonhalle Zurich,
the Konzertsaal KKL Lucerne, the Musikhalle Hamburg,
the Theatro Municipal Santiago de Chile and in numerous
countries such as Germany, the USA, France, Great Britain,
the Ukraine, Switzerland, Romania and Chile. Future
engagements will take him to Israel, Denmark, Spain
and Slovakia.
The artist has played with many renowned
orchestras, including the Bamberg Symphoniker, the Berlin
Symphony Orchestra, the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra,
the Dresden State Orchestra, the Freiburg Philharmonic
Orchestra, the Rhenish Philharmonic Orchestra, and the
Winterthur Stadt Orchestra in Switzerland, the Zurich
Chamber Orchestra, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra
and the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra.
