These
images were produced during 1995 and were the result of destroying
20 televisions and using the insides as the starting point for
a series of large oil paintings. As a means of cycling through
ideas quickly doggybag started to make mono prints using an inked
sheet of glass and drawing directly onto the back of the paper.
The images were then photocopied, reduced in size, re-photocopied,
printed and formed into a small book of 20 images. The book has
now been scanned, the images compressed into JPG, changed into
GIF and put out on the net. You will be looking on your monitor
at the life size image but only after it has been squeezed and
moved around by various mediums and technologies. Once these
images had been put on the net, the original book of 20 images
was destroyed, leaving behind only these virtual images . |
