In the second room we learn about the early inhabitants of the Barga area. On display are a selection of stone tools from the prehistoric settlement at Piazzana dating from around 10,000 years ago. From the 7th to the 5th century BC the territory was inhabited by the Etruscans. An important archeological find in the area has provided us with the small bronze figurines, used as votive offerings, dated from the 5th century BC. In the centre of the room are two Ligurian tombs discovered locally.
