Road just below Barga still closed
The road below Barga from Ponte di Campia has been under repair since the start of last month and has been closed to traffic during the night but recent work on the new bridge being built has meant that the road has now been totally closed to traffic.
According to signs posted this morning the road should be open to traffic once again in 10 days time but judging by the images taken of the work today that 10 days could well be an optimistic forecast.Â

La strada regionale 445, nel tratto compreso tra Ponte di Campia e il ponte sul Corsonna, sarà al centro di interventi per migliorarne la sicurezza. Le opere che saranno effettuate a partire dal 4 agosto rientrano, infatti, nel programma nazionale annuale di sicurezza stradale e co-finanziate dalla Provincia di Lucca per un totale di 750mila euro. Per ridurre i disagi, inizialmente – dal 4 al 9 agosto - l’interruzione della circolazione sarà solo notturna, dalle ore 20 alle ore 5. I lavori saranno sospesi nella settimana di Ferragosto, mentre dal 18 agosto al termine dei lavori (previsto per il 12 settembre) la strada sarà chiusa anche in orario diurno.
