“Una stanza tutta per me” è la mostra personale di pittura di Sandra Rigali che sarà esposta a Lucca presso Palazzo Ducale , nella sala degli Staffieri, dal 5 al 12 dicembre con inaugurazione il 5 dicembre alle ore 16. Sandra Rigali è promotrice di un’iniziativa artistica dal titolo “Itinerarte” che si è posta l’obiettivo di portare la cultura fuori dai luoghi tradizionali dell’arte, facendo viaggiare la sua mostra “Una stanza tu…tta per me” per i dodici mesi in dodici locali pubblici della provincia di Lucca.

I quadri della pittrice partono dall’ispirazione dell’universo femminile di Virginia Woolf “Una stanza tutta per sé”, dove la ricerca di un proprio spazio per esprimersi va di pari passo a quella dell’affermazione e del riuscire ad “essere” attraverso il proprio lavoro. Così le stanze di Sandra Rigali sono fatte di figure, sono istantanee di vita che si mescolano e ammorbidiscono nella narrazione di interni e still life, i suoi nudi sono l’esteriorizzazione della conoscenza diretta che l’artista ha del suo essere con linee espressioniste e forti.

I suoi paesaggi diventano colore e movimento. Per l’artista, la stanza è luogo necessario per essere creativi, per una libertà mentale e fisica, conquista anche economica, spazio privato dove lasciar scorrere tempo e sogno. Stanza reale e onirica. “Questi quadri sono un percorso che uscirà dalla mia stanza, per visitarne altre”, come spiega meglio Sandra Rigali.

La mostra rimarrà aperta tutti i giorni dalle 10 alle 18 con ingresso libero.

The trav­ell­ing art exhi­bi­tion, will rotate twelve pan­els through dif­fer­ent pub­lic and pri­vate spaces through­out the province of Lucca, dur­ing the period of one year.

The project brings cul­ture from places out­side tra­di­tional art, into the places of com­merce and indus­try, and empha­sizes the pos­i­tive val­ues of cre­ativ­ity, pro­fes­sion­al­ism and artis­tic work, through a shared vision.

The work of San­dra Rigali shows women at the cen­tre of the uni­verse. Her nudes draw their inspi­ra­tion from women: they are the exter­nal­iza­tion of the direct knowl­edge that the artist has of her “being.” The expres­sion­ist and strong lines of her fig­ures blend and soften into the nar­ra­tive of her inte­ri­ors and still-life, capped by the inten­sity of colour and motion that dom­i­nate her landscapes.

The artist, who for years has espoused the impor­tance of artis­tic oppor­tu­nity for women in the province of Lucca, con­sid­ered titling the exhi­bi­tion “A Room of Her Own,” in ref­er­ence to the famous work “A Room of One’s Own” by the writer Vir­ginia Woolf.

For the painter, the room is the place needed for cre­ativ­ity, for men­tal and phys­i­cal free­dom, includ­ing eco­nomic suc­cess; a pri­vate space to let time pass and to dream. “These paint­ings are a jour­ney, leav­ing my room to visit oth­ers”, explains San­dra Rigali.

San­dra Rigali was born in Lucca.  After grad­u­a­tion at the Liceo Artis­tico di Lucca, she obtained her Diploma at the Accad­e­mia di Belle Arti in Flo­rence, and teach­ing cer­tifi­cate of Art Edu­ca­tion. She has worked with var­i­ous munic­i­pal­i­ties of Valle del Ser­chio as an expert in image edu­ca­tion workshops.

Rigali per­forms works of mural dec­o­ra­tion for pri­vate and pub­lic spaces.  She is the cre­ator of artis­tic, cul­tural and social projects imple­mented in coop­er­a­tion with local bod­ies and asso­ci­a­tions such as “The room” –the art salon,” The Age of Art” — work­shop with the G. Pascoli rest­ home, ” Gem-colored chil­dren “,” Color and Motion” — restruc­tur­ing the reha­bil­i­ta­tion depart­ment.  She also col­lab­o­rated on the project “Play for the dif­fer­ence, an appro­pri­ate choice,” pro­moted by Coun­cilor Equal­ity of Lucca.
