Dopo un lunedì più… introspettivo, ieri sera la festa del Centro astorico è tornata ad animarsi di gente, suoni, colori e sensazioni. Una bella serata tra le antiche mura di Barga in mezzo a tanta buona musica, come quella proposta in piazza Angelio dalla formazione scozzese TJ Muller and The Dixie Six che hanno portato una ventata di novità con una versione molto british della musica Dixieland, ispirata insomma dal jazz bianco di New Orleans. Jazz più puro e presentato ai massimi livelli invece in Piazza dell’Annunziata con la formazione Interplayers Trio con l’inossidabile Piero Orsi alla batteria, Moraldo Marcheschi al sax tenore e soprano e Manrico Seghi all’organo.
Poi non sono mancate iniziative varie come la serata tipo raduno di vecchi bikers con tanto di cubisti in azione nella piazzetta del bar del Paolo gas sul Fosso. Nel mezzo anche tante iniziative culturali come la mostra di Magazzini di cui parliamo in altro servizio e “Arte per Palazzo Pancrazi”, anche questa trattata in altro articolo.
Stasera la festa va avanti. Per la musica il ritorno a Barga dello swing di Emma & gli Aristodemos in piazza dell’Annunziata e dei Coffee and TV in piazza Angelio.

TJ Muller And The Dixie Six – Swingin’ British Dixieland Band based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Started in late 2011, TJ Muller and the Dixie Six is a coming together of youths based in Edinburgh, Scotland to have fun, play horns and celebrate all that’s great about ol’ time swinging new orleans jazz.
Bringing the world of the 1920s speakeasy and Jazz Cafe back to life. TJ Muller brings his mad-cat style with a mean entourage of Jazzmen, bringing you all the excitement of those early jazz beats and vibes, and a hell of a lot of horn solos. According to their facebook page the bands interestes include : Jazz, swing dance, old records, zoot suits, cigars, whiskey.

And over on the Fosso Paolo Gas was doing what Paolo Gas does best – mixing and matching people and events to create an evening together. This time it was a heady mix of Motorbikes, music and meals.
