Just a simple question for the readers of this site.
With the economic downturn making itself felt across much of the world and especially here in Italy where the word “crisi” can now be heard more or less every day in the piazzas, are things really that bad that we should be losing all hope?
Is it possible that we might just have slipped into the habit of thinking that things are all doom and gloom and nothing is like it used to be in “the good old days” ?
Sometimes, it is the simple things in life that make you stop, look around you and take stock of the situation.
ok, to my question – where you live is it still possible to leave your house on foot and find a shop which sells 6 bolts and nuts with washers wrapped up in a sheet of paper and all for under 2 Euro’s
If so, count yourself lucky, there is still hope in a world that is packaging and marketing in bulk and moving shops to malls built on the outskirts of towns and only accessible by car.
Let’s hear it for the small family businesses that are still plying their trade in the face of stiff competition.
