So we are now into the first week in December but still the weather refuses to be serious – it keeps playing tricks.
Rain, rain and yet more rain and then suddenly the sun breaks through and it feels like a spring day of all things with temperatures up to 20 degrees.
Up by the Duomo at the top of Barga Vecchia there were some strange happenings this morning as the ancient cedar trees lining the sides of the Duomo dried out in the sun.
At one point the trunks were actually steaming in the heat and upon close inspection a whole new vertical green world was on view which is normally never seen complete with miniature mushrooms.
