Oh how my life has changed, I cannot believe that I could have been so excited over a vacuum cleaner. But after my old one broke down, and ten days trying to keep the house clean with a broom to no avail, we finally fitted in going to Lucca to purchase a new one going on Saturday morning so that I could also browse the market stalls.
Leaving it until the last minute to dash to Euronics. Luckily I knew what I was looking for and was able to dart to the right part of the store, and we made it to the checkout just as the tannoy asked everyone to make their way to the exit the store was about to close.
I carried the box back to the car with such love and tenderness knowing just how important this package was and what a difference it would make in my busy schedule. Believe it or not I WAS so excited.
This has been a bad year for spiders and cobwebs but some of the beams looked like they had been taken from a horror movie, strewn with cobwebs. The funny thing is that you don’t always see them. I am sure that they can appear over night and they are definitely more prevalent when you have guests. Many a time I have looked over their heads and like a rabbit fixed to the light my eyes are stuck like glue. Hoping it hasn’t been spotted by anyone else.
But as soon as the sun shines, the windows are open you spot them billowing in the wind, catching the light. But this new hoover has made exercise removal so much easier, as each one is sucked swiftly and cleanly away. But there’s always that one, that elusive invisible one that appears at just the wrong time.
Thats when the brain stops functioning as you search for an excuse, ever elusive all that comes out is “I missed that one”, quickly looking over the whole of the room hoping that there aren’t any others to be seen.
So I was in seventh heaven with my new Miele Dog and Cat vacuum cleaner, its quieter than the old one, the suction seems even better and easier, as I hoovered the beams, ceiling and floors. I could feel the house take a sharp intake of air and breath a sigh of relief.
It took me two full days to do the house from top to bottom but how great it feels, and how great it looks. I have talked about it to everyone I have met, they must think I am mad, but with five dogs the last thing that you can do without is the vacuum cleaner and how I love mine.
It’s too nice to stow away, so at the moment it is strategically left in places so that I can admire it and pat myself on the back, for making such a good choice. I know it won’t be long before I trip over it, probably curse it and then I can stow it away in its rightful place. But for now its on show.
There are no cobwebs, well that is none that I can see right now. Although I am sure they aren’t far away, lurking in a dark corner waiting for the moment to expose themselves, to hang in full view of my unsuspecting guests. Mind you I suppose by writing this I am now leaving myself open to the watchful eyes of all my guests!
