Zilvinas Brazkauskas, clarinet and Natania Sarah Hoffman, cello playing in Piazza Salvo Salvi in Barga Vecchia this morning.
Žilvinas Brazauskas began his studies at the Kaunas j. Naujalis Music Gymnasium with V. Žemaitis. In 2010 he moved to Lübeck to study with Prof. S. Meyer. Since 2015 he is a student in Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” with Prof. M. Spangenberg.
He attended various masterclasses with professors J. Farrall, E. Eban, E. Brunner, N. Baldeyrou, H. Rosengren and P. Berrod.
Žilvinas has won numerous national and international competitions and prizes, including A.Mravinsky competition (St. Petersburg), Jeunesses International Music Competition (Bucharest), F. Mendelssohn – Bartholdy Hochschulwettbewerb (Berlin), DAAD prize for Distinguished Scholarship in German and European Studies and special prize from the “Freunde junger Musiker”.
He has played in the Philharmonia of the Nations, the Kaunas city orchestra and the Brahms Festival orchestra, among others, under the direction of J. Frantz, M. Poschner, M. Gražinytė – Tyla, L. Zagrosek and L. Petitgirard.
He received scholarships from various foundations such as Musikerkennen, Ad-Infinitum, Yehudi Menuhin “Live Music Now”, R. F. Tuck foundation, Oskar und Vera Ritter foundation and M. Rostropovich Charity and Support Foundation.
