Once again the rain played an important part in this weekends Autumn Festival up at the Piazza del Ciocco, just above Barga.
The Aristodemo’s had just set up their equipment and done their sound check …. and for the second year running, down came the rain.
It did not stop the music though, they simply moved their equipment into the dry and set up outside the nearby Pizza Bar to play an acoustic set for the afternoon.
Stone jewelry, sculptures and hand-decorated ceramics. Acacia honey, biodynamic wine, Slow Food Presidium “Bazzone” prosciutto”, biroldo and mondiola of the Garfagnana.
These are just some of the many specialties that welcomed the visitors of the “Autumn Festival”; a weekend with good food and handcrafted items dedicated to the Autumn season and organised by the Il Ciocco Tenuta e Parco.
The Aristodemo’s
The band came together in the winter of 2009 when local musicians Alessandro Rizzardi (mandolino), Keane (Percussioni), Fabio Guazelli (chitarra), Leo Gnesi (contro bass), and Andrea Gonnella (cantante) found each other in Aristo’s enoteca, with instruments in hand, and exciting ideas in mind and of course, passion in heart.
Focusing mainly on forgotten swing Italiano from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s, The Aristodemos welcome you to jump back in time and into their salotto. You may also hear something contemporary swung into Aristo gear.
Standing in for the Aristodemo’s usual bass player, Leo Gnesi was once again, the exceptional Renato Marcianò.
