Work begins on the aqueduct in Barga Vecchia

Work is continuing on the Parco Kennedy which has seen better days and was starting to look a “little shabby”

Volunteers from the Pro loco started work on clearing the Parco Kennedy a couple of years ago – article here.

“Le Donne di Barga per Barga” – “The women of Barga for Barga” repainted the wrought iron gates leading to the park which are now a shiny bright green colour matching the new Parco Kennedy sign which the Pro Loco had installed recently – article here

This morning workmen started work on clearing the vegetation covering up the arches of the old aqueduct which was constructed back in 1501 to provide water  for Barga Vecchia from the Rupina area outside the city walls.
