this is a particularly important edition, as it is 30 years since the first time, on the evening of 10 August, the Misericordia di Castelvecchio promoted a Pascoli reading in the garden of Casa Pascoli.
The event this year will be dedicated to Dante Alighieri on the 700 years of his death. A significant choice as Pascoli dedicated most of his life to Dante’s studies, giving life to an interpretation of the original and full of meanings of the Divine Comedy, which, however, was not well received by the critics of his time, which deeply wounded the poet.
From these studies were born books, speeches, university lectures of which manuscripts and editions are still preserved today at Casa Pascoli.
One of the three desks in the poet’s studio was specially dedicated to the study and drafting of Dante’s work – Alessandro Adami, President of the Giovanni Pascoli Foundation
