The l’Arciconfraternita di Misericordia di Barga together with the Unità Pastorale di Barga and the Municipal Administration of Barga organised a walk through the streets of Barga this Sunday evening to express solidarity with the Ukrainian people and to say no to war.
They left the Piazza Pascoli in Barga Giardino at 9 pm and walked in silence along viale Marconi, to Barga Vecchia. Entering the city through the Porta Reale, along the via di Mezzo and exiting by the Porta Macchiaia, via dell’Acquedotto and then return again to piazza Pascoli.
Throughout the journey the only real sound to the event came from the bell ringing in the Duomo.
