At the beginning of 2018, Luca Bacchetti, one of the world’s most sought-after DJs and producers from Italy, decamped for two weeks to a bungalow in Il Ciocco.
An area of exceptional natural beauty, he was joined by friends and musicians Stefano Onorati, Andrea Guzzoletti and Leo Di Angilla.

Three years later Luca was back in the middle of that area of exceptional natural beauty, he was again joined by Alessandro Stefani, this time not wearing his film maker hat but in joint DJ session of electronic and ambient music for the first edition of the LIMBO Festival (article with images and video here)
Luca Bacchetti has performed in more than 80 countries, the list of clubs is endless, notably at Womb (Tokyo), Fabric (London), DC10 (Ibiza), Output (New York), Stereo (Montreal), B018 (Beirut), Panorama Bar (Berlin), Tenax (Florence), Pacha (Buenos Aires), Lost Beach (Ecuador), D-Edge (Sao Paulo) …
He has participated in festivals including Creamfields, BPM Mexico, Tomorroland (2018), Burning Man (2016-2018) and many others.
According to Luca and Alessandro, in 2021, with the first edition, they had understood what they wanted to achieve. In 2022 they will return to their beloved Living Mountain with new energies and a vision that will arise from the sharing of resources, passions and ideas.
In this year’s program the ambient, electronica, house and disco DJ sets will offer the appropriate soundtrack for each moment of the festival, with a line up of international artists.

There will be opportunities to meet – such as free food and wine masterclasses – and convivial occasions such as gourmet dinners and tastings of typical products.
There will be space for those who want to play sports in nature and for those who choose to do nothing and enjoy the atmosphere. There will also be a way to be silent and simply breathe.

Ad accompagnare i tramonti e le notti di LIMBO FESTIVAL saranno i dj set di Prins Thomas, Jimi Jules, Pional, Luca Bacchetti, Cinthie, Benjamin Fröhlich, Desiree, Iñigo Vontier, Markeno, Vitamina Jeans, Piero Perelli, Løvetempo, Vitamina Jeans, Franchi Bro, Daniele Dubbini, Philipp & Cole, David Brilli e il live di Parra For Cuva.

La musica, che genera armonia tra le civiltà e le religioni e riesce a evocare riti e tradizioni, sarà quindi grande protagonista del festival, che quest’anno si ispirerà alla metafora della tribù, intesa come la condivisione di esperienza e la diversità come ricchezza.
Uno spirito che verrà incarnato anche attraverso degustazioni enogastronomiche, attività sportive e occasioni di incontro e dialogo. Ad integrazione del programma, anche talk, panel e masterclass gratuite che saranno occasione di incontro e dialogo su gastronomia e tradizioni vinicole, fotografia e arti visive, musica e benessere. Per completare l’esperienza, sarà possibile praticare trekking, escursioni, bike, yoga e meditazione, circondati dai colori e dai profumi della Toscana e immersi nella macchia mediterranea.
Non mancheranno piatti e prodotti tipici con cui gli ospiti potranno scoprire i sapori della cucina toscana e le eccellenze enogastronomiche locali. Seguendo un approccio sperimentale, lo chef Francesco Piacentini si occuperà del ristoro proponendo street food durante il giorno e piatti gourmet alla sera, in particolare durante la cena pensata per il sabato.
Per il secondo anno consecutivo LIMBO FESTIVAL si svolgerà nella tenuta “Il Ciocco”, un resort con diverse tipologie di strutture ricettive, due ristoranti, un villaggio sportivo e 42 chilometri di sentieri e percorsi ciclabili che attraversano un’area naturalistica di seicento ettari. Nato negli anni ‘60 con l’obiettivo di valorizzare la montagna e le sue tradizioni, “Il Ciocco” è stato il primo polo turistico alberghiero italiano in grado di offrire ospitalità, svago, sport e benessere in un’unica soluzione. Gli chalet saranno a disposizione degli ospiti del festival che desiderano pernottare in struttura. Accoglienti baite in legno, in cui respirare l’atmosfera tipica della montagna senza rinunciare al comfort di una stanza d’hotel con cucina attrezzata, riscaldamento autonomo, veranda e posto auto.
