Un fine settimana all’insegna delle tradizioni di campagna e dei sapori della Garfagnana e dell’Appennino, con piatti a base di farina di castagne, funghi porcini, tartufo scorzone, mondine (caldarroste) e necci, torte casalinghe.
Dal mattino bancarelle con prodotti tipici e artigianato in centro storico, mostra mercato tartufo, mercato di generi vari al parcheggio, mostra micologica nel palazzo comunale, mostre tematiche e fotografiche. Dalle 9.00 tradizionale “Fiera del bestiame” con gli animali degli allevatori del comune di Castiglione a contendersi i premi nelle varie categorie, curata dall’amministrazione comunale.

Nel pomeriggio mondine e necci allo stand del parcheggio e musica in piazza con “The Aristodemos”.
La manifestazione è organizzata dalle associazioni paesane di Castiglione (Pro Loco Castiglione, Filarmonica Alpina, Atletico Castiglione, Castiglione News) con il patrocinio dell’amministrazione comunale.
The Italian swing band, The Aristodemos were playing away from their home town of Barga and instead moved further up the valley making themselves heard inside the walls of another medieval walled town – this time Castiglione di Garfagnana.
They were there there for the Autumn festival now in its fourteenth year with the emphasis strongly on the palate as the main stars of the festival were: chestnuts, wild porcini mushrooms and truffles.
The Aristodemo’s are: Andrea Gonnella (Vocals), Keane (percussioni / percussion), Alessandro Rizzardi (Mandolino / Mandolin and Sax), Fabio Guazzelli (chitarra / guitar), Leo Gnesi on double–bass, Francesco Massagli (fisarmonica)

The band came together in the winter of 2009 when local musicians Alessandro Rizzardi (mandolino), Keane (Percussioni), Fabio Guazelli (chitarra), Leo Gnesi (contro bass), and Andrea Gonnella (cantante) found each other in Aristo’s enoteca, with instruments in hand, and exciting ideas in mind and of course, passion in heart.
Focusing mainly on forgotten swing Italiano from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s, The Aristodemos welcome you to jump back in time and into their salotto. You may also hear something contemporary swung into Aristo gear.
