Parco Buozzi – some damage to the botanical path

The project by Marco Pardini  to enhance the Parco Buozzi – one of the green lungs that divides Barga Vecchia from Barga Giardini which was open to the public just less than 2 months ago is already showing some signs of damage.

Marco Pardini’s project is a series of information boards concerning some of the trees, bushes and plants that can be found in the Parco Buozzi – many of them brought in from other places and now growing and thriving quite happily in the Parco.

Unfortunately this morning three of those information boards have been pushed over or uprooted.

The comune renovated 26 tourist information panels (on the history and characteristics of Barga) which were created in 2013 as part of a project to enhance this green area.

The panels had deteriorated over the years – some have been renovated and replaced while the others will be destined for other tourist information projects in the area.

“Barga has always aroused in me a unique charm both for its history and for its beauties and where nature is often second in importance. The idea was born during a day of ethnobotany in Barga and now it is realized with the creation of a point where many enthusiasts converge who will be able to discover a lot of information both in this path and directly in the course of my narrations, during the events in program that I will soon make known ” – Marco Pardini
