– Sabrina Giannotti

Three years ago, the project “Women Write History” was born, conceived and developed by the teachers of the Primary School of Fornaci di Barga.

Talking about gender equality is never easy when it comes to explaining it to children, but it is precisely from them that awareness of equality between men and women must begin in order to educate them about respect and the value of being human.

This is essential for them to become responsible and respectful citizens. For this reason, we have decided to introduce them to women who have “fought” to pursue their dreams, their ideals, and who have written our history through their studies, sports, music, love for others, science, art, etc.

The project is ongoing, as every year, on March 8th, International Women’s Day, the knowledge of new female figures enriches the educational path of our students and outlines the courageous, difficult but constant growth in the role of women in society and the journey towards achieving “just” equality. – Sabrina Giannotti
