The Aristodemos play the Limbo Festival in BARGA

LIMBO is a boutique festival that combines music, nature, outdoor activities, talks, and culinary explorations. While in the previous edition it served as a metaphor for the tribe, representing the sharing of experiences and diversity as wealth, in 2023, the boutique festival will follow the claim of “A human future.”

LIMBO FESTIVAL was born out of the need to create well-being for people through the sharing of pleasure, the beauty of the land it is hosted in, the opportunities offered by our era, and the connection of seemingly distant arts and disciplines that once again place humans and their needs at the center. In a world characterized by a simplistic and binary ethic shaped by algorithms that increasingly influence our way of life, it is essential to return to humanistic culture, to not lose sight of humanity’s capacity to act through empathy, generosity, curiosity, and optimism. Humanism, of which Italy has been the cradle and source, will be the fundamental tool to face the technological revolution that awaits us.

LIMBO Festival started almost as a game in the summer 2021, when the strict rules imposed by the Italian government did not allow us to hold events.
I was forced to cancel some of my gigs abroad, so I proposed to my partner Alessandro Stefani to make something special for us. After 2 years of pandemic mood we all felt the desire to share something beautiful! We planned a dinner cooked by a chef, served on a 1000 mt high parterre, with ambient music as a soundtrack. It was supposed to be a gathering for a bunch of friends. But the magic we felt all around, prompted us to think bigger. So the idea of a festival with a special dinner was born. LIMBO means our passions, our way of living as much as possible in harmony with nature and the Cosmo. It is also about our passion for music and the unconditional love for Tuscany, our roots and heritage – Luca Bacchetti

The Aristodemo’s are: Andrea Gonnella (Vocals), Keane (percussioni / percussion), Alessandro Rizzardi (Mandolino / Mandolin and Sax), Fabio Guazzelli (chitarra / guitar), Leo Gnesi on double–bass, Francesco Massagli (fisarmonica)

The band came together in the winter of 2009 when local musicians Alessandro Rizzardi (mandolino), Keane (Percussioni), Fabio Guazelli (chitarra), Leo Gnesi (contro bass), and Andrea Gonnella (cantante) found each other in Aristo’s enoteca, with instruments in hand, and exciting ideas in mind and of course, passion in heart.

Focusing mainly on forgotten swing Italiano from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s, The Aristodemos welcome you to jump back in time and into their salotto. You may also hear something contemporary swung into Aristo gear.
