One of the aspects of modern life which is becoming more prevalent recently is that people are now organising their lives and daily meetings via the cell phone long before they actually meet face-to-face.
Until very recently if you wanted to meet somebody or find out some information or news, then the place to go was the bar. It was absolutely central to organising your social life. A chance meeting at the bar could change the whole fabric of the day.
This morning a fine example took place on just how important it is to talk face-to-face to exchange ideas as during a morning coffee at Da Aristo’s in Barga Vecchia somebody arrived with a package.
The package contained two perfectly crafted hand made knives for the kitchen at the bar.
A conversation started which then led on to an invitation to visit the workshop of the man who had crafted the knives – Daniele Ceroni.

Uno degli aspetti della vita moderna che sta diventando sempre più diffuso è che le persone ora organizzano le loro vite e gli incontri giornalieri tramite il cellulare molto prima di incontrarsi effettivamente di persona.
Fino a poco tempo fa, se volevi incontrare qualcuno o scoprire alcune informazioni o notizie, il posto giusto era il bar. Era assolutamente centrale nell’organizzare la tua vita sociale. Un incontro fortuito al bar poteva cambiare l’intero corso della giornata.
Questa mattina si è verificato un bel esempio di quanto sia importante parlare faccia a faccia per scambiare idee, durante una colazione al Da Aristo’s a Barga Vecchia, qualcuno è arrivato con un pacchetto.
Il pacchetto conteneva due coltelli fatti a mano perfettamente lavorati per la cucina del bar.
Una conversazione è iniziata che poi ha portato a un invito a visitare il laboratorio dell’uomo che aveva realizzato i coltelli – Daniele Ceroni.
