Il concorso internazionale di arrangiamento e composizione per orchestra jazz, giunto alla 35° edizione è dedicato per quest’anno alla musica di Joe Henderson.
Chiamato a interpretare questa musica il sassofonista Chris Cheek che suonerà con la BargaJazz Orchestra arrangiamenti scritti dai concorrenti appositamente per lui.
Il bando Bargajazz Contest è dedicato ai gruppi emergenti under 35 e riservato alle band da tre a sette elementi.
I gruppi selezionati si esibiranno il 19 e 20 agosto nell’ambito del festival dove verrà assegnato un premio al miglior gruppo e un premio al miglior solista dedicato a “Luca Flores”.

The International Jazz Orchestra Arrangement and Composition Competition, now in its 35th edition, is dedicated this year to the music of Joe Henderson.
Saxophonist Chris Cheek has been invited to interpret this music and will perform with the BargaJazz Orchestra arrangements written by the contestants specifically for him.
The BargaJazz Contest is dedicated to emerging groups under 35 and is reserved for bands with three to seven members.
The selected groups will perform on August 19 and 20 as part of the festival, where a prize will be awarded to the best group and a prize for the best soloist dedicated to “Luca Flores.”
