UNA
PER LA STRADA - the blues band that has
gradually, almost secretly, over the
last couple of seasons become "the
band" to see play live in the Barga
area, once more takes to the boards… this
time at the Barga Jazz Club.
Front man and seasoned performer Geoff will be strutting
his stuff with his wonderful mix of double whiskey -two
packs a day - gravel voice and sweet, sweet blues harmonica.
As usual, by his side there will be the upright and dark
figure of Jack Nannini and his brooding understated but
so, so powerful guitar rifs pushing the machine along.
Throbbing and pulsing in the background we find the powerhouse
duo of the orange clad rhythm section Vittorio on bass
and Ubaldo on the drums… orange clad as both are
street cleaners during the day and wear their uniforms
with pride while they play…maybe, just maybe, it
is now the time to give up your day jobs boys and lets
get down to some serious business!
This evenings show will also have the added ingredient
of three special guests; newcomer Andrea Mazzucchi on
keyboards who is fast making a name for himself with
his swinging style of playing. Old friends and veteran
performer Alessando Rizzardi on the sax and on the Irish
Drum, that rusting creaking old rhythm man Keane adding
that salty, celtic touch.
All in all, a night to be savoured
