Intense interest in Barga for the arrival of the RAI 3 radio
troupe. A live broadcast on national radio took place over most
of the afternoon with interviews with The Mayor - Umberto Sereni,
the Scottish painter - John Bellany, Bruna Cordati, Luca Galleotti,
Nick Hunt and even Keane from barganews. Translating services
were offered by Michele Biagi. |

The troupe also recorded inside the Teatro dei Differenti, a
selection of pieces played by the Accademia per Musica featuring Cristoph
Timpe, Andra Fossà, Francesco Romano and Anna Fontana.
The only negative note in the whole day was the condition of
the blue RAI "Tournee" van which suffered "cuts
and abrasions" on entering and leaving the narrow streets
of Barga Vecchia. |
