closed for the holidays

Bit of a difficult time in Barga Vecchia for any visitors hoping to eat out at the moment. It was really a busy summer season for most of the restaurants and bars in Barga and now just after the xmas holidays is the time of year where generally things quieten down and the owners and staff can think about taking a well earned rest. All fine and dandy except for any visitors to Barga Vecchia today who were hoping to catch a bite to eat. Closing days, and holidays all conspired to leave people with little choice on where to go.

But, that is all about to change. There is a revolution on the streets. There will be not one, not two but three new eating places in Barga by May. –

  • I was in Barga last August and had my picture taken next to that wee fiat 500 in the first photo, who moved it inside the gate?

  • Hi Zambo,

That is, of course, the fiat of Mario, Barga’s favorite newspaper merchant and a talented musician. His shop is just inside the gate.

    See you in May.
