Omaggio a Don Piero – concert by the Womens Choir

A concert was held this evening in the Duomo of Barga by the Corale Femminile del Duomo di Barga – The Cathedral Women’s Choir in memory of the Proposto of Barga, Don Piero who died at the start of May (article here) The concert was actually prepared with Don Piero in the last months of his life but as Roberta Popolani, the mezzasoprano and director of the choir explained this evening before the concert, nobody felt like singing in the choir until recently when it was suggested that performance should take place as a homage to Don Piero.
